Defining MAN as HOMO SAPIENS not homo erectus or other stuff
Adam. Eve was named (life) because she was taken out of a rib of Adam; thats why females have 2 more ribs than us... I think it was ribs?

In the word? I belive Aaron is first in the dictionary ;)
Adam was the first according to Bible (in Hebrew that means a man) and Chava (not Eve... I don't even know how people got Eve, the word meaning life) was the first female.
Then again, recent genetic explorations do point out that the first homo sapience was an African and common sense says he has no name (think about it, when you are the only one, why will you bother with a name). There is a high likelyhood that there was only one man and one woman at one point evolutionary as our DNA points back to 2 people (Natl. Geographic).
That;s the best I can do with this questions, I know its unsetteling.

Biblically, Adam, evolutionary - who knows - what makes the difference between a man being a man and not their ancestors?

somehow the truth lies in the belief one has. I would say.... let us all consider the advances science has made and let us make sure that adam and eve certainly were not the first to roam this planet.

Maybe you should take this question over to the mythology section.
Most of us are discussing SCIENCE here...
