Just kidding Mrs. Jolie Pitt, it is actually the circumstantial irony of the particular moment that makes one laugh, can u say LOL-lough out loud.

Well, I think that we laugh for many differnet reasons. It's also tough describe the wrong time. Some people honestly don't feel it's ther wrong time. Some people find very negative things humurous. However, for the general populace I think It's disbelief. I also think that sometimes the imminent onset of grief reults in a barriered reaction-- that is laughter. I mean, we have all this physical mechanisms that aid survival... why not psychological ones? The whole survival of the fittest thing... people who maintained weight during famine better survived. Who's to say that people who maintain laughter etc. can deal better emotionally. I don't know. Just a thought.

I would have to say that the reason we laugh at the wrong times is because we're shocked and that causes a trigger reaction to laugh.
But that's just a guess.

Maybe because our brain perceives it as something funny. It tells us to laugh, because it's laughable. Honestly, I don't know. Good one though.
