I sold all my Wal-Mart stock in 1987 just before the October crash.... If had just bought it all back right after the crash I would be on easy street right now. Oh well... live and learn.

I suppose what I regret most is over-riding and not listening to my inner voice cautioning me to slow down/retreat/not get involved (whatever the warning), and going ahead and doing what I was determined to do against my own better judgement and the advice of the people who love me.
Learning to live with my regrets, or actions when I knew it was bad for me in the first place, has been hard but one has to if life is to move forward, which it will, with or without us. Lucky are those individuals who have lived true to themselves and may have nothing to regret, and I am not talking here of indifference and people who don't care! Why waste time on time wasters!
Many things happen in life, and we have constant choices to make. Some of the outcomes are great, and some hurt. Someone lets us down, a relationship does not work out, we say 'no' to something we could have chosen to say 'yes' to, etc. But for our choices which are life's lessons, I believe we should strive not to have regrets. We don't have foresight, we don't know what the outcome will be, and we can only make the best choice we have given the circumstances we are in. And we should be glad for the lesson our choice, positively or negatively, gives us. As the saying goes, you'll never know how things would be if they weren't the way they are. You would not be you today were it not for the choices you made, and hopefully you are glad to be you...

Some people do care. I care. It's just that I cannot live in regret. I choose to learn from my past mistakes and apply it to the now.
However, if I were to have to regret something, it would be that I didn't stay in college my first time. I am currently in college. The whole reason I decided to go back to college again was so I could make enough money to support a family. My greatest wish was to be in a relationship. I think I wasted a lot of years being poor because of no college degree. Perhaps, if I would have had a degree and some money, I could have found someone sooner.
Blessings,
Jon

I'm close to being one of these people, but the only regret i have is not asking a girl out when i had a chance to, she was was perfect and beautiful both inside and outside, it was about 5 years ago but i still can't get her off my mind because i have this 'what if?' in my mind, we didn't know each other that well but we saw each other almost everyday as we used the same bus to the university, back then i was afraid to approach women but now that i am not, i feel there is something missing in my life, money is one of them but there is another thing that just makes me sad sometimes.

People who say they "have no regrets" are 1) fronting, 2) lying 3) never looking into themselves to learn from mistakes. The key is to regret, to learn, but not let it cripple you!
My biggest regret is being too honest with my best girlfriend about concerns i had about her bf. I felt he was abusive, controlling and scary. I told her, she never forgave me, and married him anyway. So, i lost a best friend, and if he was abusive, she couldn't feel she could turn to me (he had alienated her from her family and now her best friend).
If i had it to do over again, i would keep my mouth shut. But i DID learn from it, and the only person i'm that honest with now is my sister.

Trusted someone with a secret that could break a family up he betrayed me now the family is divorced and things could never be the same. So 2 regrets actually doing something that could actually break a happy home up and trusting someone with this information.

Had sex with a close female friend after separating with my wife. Now I've lost a confidant because conversation which used to be so natural seems to be laboured and she's now jealous of any woman who looks at me when we do hang out.
