Since antiquity, when people started living in groups, they were trying to cooperate and make alliances!
When people became more humane, they started writing rules and establishing ethics! Around that time, more than 5,000 years ago, Orpheus wrote his commandments. They were advising people to make certain selections regarding activities. There was only one rule ordering to avoid some activity and this was not to kill your fellow person!
For no reason we should kill another person, not even ourselves!
Of course, we justify and kill people not for ethical reasons but to take their properties (land, power, taxes, resources, and so on!)
