I get this from time to time. Usually when I'm really run-down. Perhaps you need to take more iron with your diet, like red meat and dark green leafy vegetables. It could be other deficiency too, like protein or vitamin C deficiency. Other causes may be that you have mercury fillings in your mouth or if you have some internal bleeding becasue blood can have a metallic taste. Hopefully the reason for your metallic taste in the mouth is just as benign as mine: simple tiredness and you are worn-out. Get some rest and eat healthily!

Get it checked out... could be blood as this tastes metallic if somewhere in your mouth/throat is bleeding.

Metallic tastes in the mouth can be neural disorders. Have you had any ringing in your ears, felt dizzy or tingling in your face? Have you noticed any loss of facial movement??

If so I think you should see your GP ASAP
