Why is Group E called "Group of Death"?

Group E consist of US, Italy, Czech and Ghana. I would prefer Group C be called Group of Death. Agree?

It's group E
Italy - always a powerhouse and looking mighty strong right now.
Czech - runners up in Euro 04
USA - winner of concacaf finishing ahead of seeded Mexico and quarterfinalist in 02
Ghana - Has Essien from Chelsea that helped lead them past strong South African and Congo sides to qualify for the cup.

Three of these teams had a case for being seeded in this cup and if they had they would all be favorites to go through.

While the Ivory Coast is strong and can make a case and might get through I don't think the group is nearly as tough especially with S&M as the 4th team.

Group c is a no-brainer.
Not a group of death.
Group e has 3 nations that under other circunstances are expected to qualify for the next round easily + a newbie that most know next to nothing about and can therefore shock everyone.
This makes the group's qualifiers virtually impossible to predict at this point.
Hence Group of Death.

Because it's a hard as hell group. Group C is not that bad: the Argentines won't allow themselves to get knocked out in the first round (like in 2002), Holland and Serbia are good, but their players lack experience, and judging from friendly matches, Ivory Coast has bad luck playing against European teams, and they already lost against Argentina before.

yes, i agree with group c being called group of death, but group e is of death as well, noone knows which 2 teams are going to play-offs
