You don't actually say what kind of help you need, so I'm going to guess a little...

In general:

Run the installation disk before you plug anything in..

Use plenty of light. Most web cams are not good at handling low light conditions.

If your cam has face-tracking software, disable it while you're testing and setting it up, the extra processing overhead can be a burden. (It's very handy once you're set up though :-)

Mount the camera on, or close to, the monitor. That way, you can look at the screen and be facing the camera at the same time, which is the most natural way to conference.

Don't expect too much. You may have a fast machine, but the limitations of the connection between you and the other guy will limit the bandwidth available - and thus your picture quality.

Find out that you have all of the webcam drivers.

Do not plug in the webcam until the cd has been installed.

Once the installation has completed then you may plug in the webcam.
