I had a job interview yesterday and one of the interview questions was "tell me what animal you would like to be most and why." For some reason, the first thing that came to my head was a "three-toed sloth". I had to explain my choice, and I said "because they don't do anything all day." the interviewer basically gave me a look that was like "oooooooook" and was weird the rest of the interview. did i hurt my chances?

Hahahahaha. Yep...no job offer forthcoming there. Better three-toed sloth than crack-smoking skunk. Personally I would have gone with naked mole rat cause then I could have an office to myself and airconditioning could be at a lower setting thus saving the company money.

If I was in a job interview and my interviewer had nothing better than to ask what animal I would like to be, I would say forget it and walk out before I wasted anymore time.

Why would you give that as an answer in a job interview? I guarantee the interviewer is laughing their but off right now.

the questions relating to animals are an unscientific psychological way to determine personality characteristics, the first animal indicates an ideal self. so this may be why you did not get the job.

Yes it could be one of the major factors. Employers would not want to hire anybody who "..don't do anything all day".
