Suduko is played on a grid of nine boxes each box contains nine mini boxes. Each mini box must contain one of the numbers (if you use numbers) from 1 - 9. And each bigger box must contain all numbers from 1 - 9. Furthermore, each row(horizontal line of mini-boxes), each occurring only once, and each column (vertical line of mini-boxes) must contain numbers 1- 9, each occurring only once.

Sudoko is a pure logic game, where numbers act like distinct symbols - they do not have any mathematical value. You do not have to add, subtract or divide with these numbers. Actually you can exchange numbers with letters of of alphabet for that purpose.

Due to this nature suduko is does not require any complicated skills to learn to solve it. This is why it provides players with an activity that requires just mind concentration - there is nothing that can distract you for example to open a dictionary or to consult any other reference material.

And when you have solved the puzzle you get an immediate sense of achievement, therefore you want to do more, and more you do. There are inherent skill levels involved in solving the game. You learn them only by playing suduko. Some of the games are fiendishly hard to solve. It is great fun.

Sudoku is played on a 9x9 grid divided up again by bold lines into a series of 3x3 grids.

The idea of the game is to fill in the boxes using numbers 1-9. A number can't be repeated in a virtical or a horizontal row of 9 or one of the 3X3 boxes marked by the bold lines.

Soduko is a nine by nine grid. You are supposed to put the numbers 1-9 on each line. But no line and no 3x3 section can have any digit repeated.
