Every time the sun comes out I get hayfever, at the moment I take an over the counter remedy for it, but I don't like taking tablets, is there a herbal remedy or something else I could take? Thank you.

I've heard that if you eat honey from your local area it works wonders.

But supermarket or any old honey is no good, it has to be from a local bee keeper.

Hayfever is due to histamines in your body (allergic reaction) the only way to combat this is by using a histamine blocker such as benedryl, claritin etc. These are otc (over the counter) if that doesnt work see your doctor for a perscription for flonase which works great, unfortunatly there are'nt any herbal meds to assist with blocking histamines

I had bad hayfever when I was pregnant, and couldn't take the chemical stuff - pharmacist recommended "pollenna" by Nelson's, it's a homeopathic remedy, worked a treat. Been using it since and it doesn't make you drowsy. Hope this helps.

You are meant to eat a spoonful of honey that has been produced locally every day (all year round) . The theory is that as the pollen was harvested from local flowers, you build up an immunity to the pollen in your area.

I buy hayfever tablets from my local healthy foods shop. Homeopathy website may also help for mail order products.

I have looked for years. sorry not found one yet.
a specialist can help you determine what you are allergic to,
they also have anti-allergic remedies to treat common allergies that effect us. stay out of cities. keep smoke away from home, cigarette, open fire, smoke houses, bullshit pits. known to exagerate allergic reactions, true.

I agree that honey might work. Try it in tea instead of sugar.
Also catnip added to eyewash can relieve soreness, etc.
