Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. Then go into a graphic editing program such as Paint (look under All Programs / Accessories) and do a paste. You should see the screenshot and be able to save, edit, print, etc.

To make a copy of the active window, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN.

To copy the entire screen as it appears on your monitor, press PRINT SCREEN.

To paste the image into a document (word or excel or any other ms application) , click the Edit menu in the document window, and then click Paste.

Print Scrn. Then open MS Word and ctrl+V. That should do it.That takes the screenshot of the whole screen. But if you want to only of certain windows that are oprn then Alt+Print Scrn and then in MS Word ctrl+V

press Alt+PrtSc button, then open ms paint and choose, edit -> paste special that will give you a screen shot
