You could try using antibiotic ointment, or maybe cortisone cream. If it doesn't clear up, you might seek the advice of a dermatologist.

Sound like housewife's hand eczema
This is a type of eczema is common to adults who have sensitive skin and constantly handle irritant chemicals.
People who are constantly using dish washing liquids, Detergents, house hold cleaners, and shampoos often damage their skin on the hands. The skin becomes dry, rough and reddened, particularly over the knuckles. It may thicken, crack, flake, and itch.
A SIMILAR TYPE OF ECZEMA OCCURS AMONG PEOPLE WHOSE HANDS ARE EXPOSED TO IRRITANT CHEMICALS ON THEIR JOBS.
Dry your hand several times a day an apply unscented hand cream ( self help )
Professional help - depending on the type eczema your your doctor would have to answer sorry!!!!!!!!!

You said pub that means you are in the UK. I am suffering the almost same problems on my forearms. I try not to scratch., I rub it vigorously so I dont bleed. It may be the cleaning products. Try using gloves. Could be something in the air we are allergic to. huh. Anyway go to Boots and get an antihistamine cream or non drowsy allergy tablets for instant relief

I had this from when I worked in a deli, its from the cleaning products and the only way I could get relief was to stop using the cleaning products, the chemicals in cleansers are very damaging to the skin used a lot or everyday. Dont try to wear rubber gloves it will only add to the severity of your condition.

you should definitely see a dermatologist - a skin doctor. some creams or ointments which are excellent for some rashes can be halrful for others, and i would not put anything strong on before confirming what it is. in the meantime, keep it clean and covered...

This is probably a combination of the two buy your self some Eucerin cream and some dishwashing gloves until it heals, if it doesn't get better within 10 days of the cream and gloves seek medical attention.
-good luck

When you go to the pub, first try putting bandages over it, if it doesn;t work, gloves. If it still doesn't work, bring a small tube of soothing aloevera lotion with you. Put on hourly.
