To eat normal food like we eat and work.
I am an engineer I always think to design such a machine to eat normal food like fruits, petza, cola, choclolate, drink wisky and smoke, then work like us.
is it possible.?

I mean I just want to change bilogical energy to mechanical energy just like animals or humans.

Just because of it's source of energy it would fail horribly.

I mean, science is not far enough to get out of food what our body can get out of food. Last time I checked It took ADDITIONAL energy for a machine to even digest food.

So for now you can forget it.. call back in a few years.. who knows.

Yes it's possible by the way some years ago scientists created a gastrobot, which is a robot that get their energy through the ingestion of real food,in other words the food is turned into eletricity using an artifitial digestive system. So it's something useful

Yes it is possible. I see all of these negative responses, and have to believe none of these folks have seen the little robots that Honda is making right now...they walk and manipulate things just like we do... they can even dance, lol. Now... those run on rechargeable batteries.

The problem I can see is creating a power plant to run off of food, like humans do.... we already have vehicles that run off of garbage, so, yes, I think it is possible... it may just not be practical. At this point, the power plant would be fairly large...and I'm assuming the 'robot' you've mentioned, you would like to see it about 'man size'

At this point it would be easier to create a robot that would go plug itself into an electrical outlet to recharge its batteries when it needed to.

well if u ask for robot answer is no ..but yes there has been progress in test tube babies they do all this stuff...cause a machine cannot drink or digest food and turn it into ****,or sweat,or spit,it needs to have blood haemoglobin to do all these things..which is not possible even if it is ..then its not a robot it'll be human being ..first try to make a dog which can eat, drink ,**** and then man is near to possible.

Our technology hasn't come up to the stage of converting human food to efficient energy, just the way our body does. Human body is marvelous mechanism, perfected from millions of years of evolution. May be couple of decades from now-?

No Impossible, I assure you that you would need a lot of electricity and man power to design yourself a robot which would meet your criteria.
