Dilwara Temples are at Mount Abu in Rajasthan and Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthen State. Both fall in the same direction from Delhi. To my mind, you should first go to Dilwara Temples and on your return journey back to Delhi, visit Jaipur enroute.

From Delhi, travel to Mount Abu is comfortable by train. From Delhi take Ahmedabad Mail for Abu Road station ( I am dropping sundry options such as travel by road - as road/weather conditions are harsh and no air travel connection), leaves Delhi Junction around 11:00 p.m. and reaches Abu Road around 2:00 p.m. next day. In the train you have options of ordinary sleeper class and A.C. sleeper class. From Abu Road, you can either go direct to Mount Abu, (a hill Station about 90 minutes travel by car/taxi (charges around Rs. 250/=) or can board a roadways bus, both right from outside the station at Abu Road.) OR go to Dilwara Temples by car/taxi/bus. The local sight seeing at Mount Abu is good by conducted bus tour of full day, which is enough. This conducted tour also take tourists to Dilwara Temples being part of the package. Mount Abu has plenty of places to stay, spend about 2-3 days there, nothing worth while to shop, variety of food available to eat and good weather.

From Mount Abu you have options to travel to Jaipur by car/taxi/luxury 2x2 buses or local buses. Trains are also available to Jaipur but travel only if you have confirm bookings.

In Jaipur, ther is plenty to go in and around the city, Take conducted tours if you have no dependable source to move around with. You can spend about 3-4 days in Jaipur, good place to shop for ethnic products, food is good and in variety, all kinds of places to stay as per your budget. Take tourist info and guidebook from the hotel of your stay or tour operator or tourist office for Jaipur places.

From Jaipur back to Delhi, there are luxury/AC as well as ordinary buses every 20-30 minutes for Delhi. The main bus terminus in Jaipur is at Sindhi Camp, which is also surrounded by a lot of budget hotels.
