how to block a lan card in network.?

i want to block a network client, and also want to block his lan card.
how to monitor a server2000 without GIF web monitor.

To block a network client you disable the user name from the server or delete it totally.Such user wont have access to shared folders on the server.You could remove the patch cord on the switch.You can also disable the LAN card on the computer

Well, I guess it depends on your setup, I have a router and can block a lan card via Mac address from accessing the internet and other stuff. Perhaps (if you have a router) your router has a similar function?
