Most of the time you can tell by how he is treating you. If he makes you feel special, gives you nice and thoughtful gifts. If he builds you up and doesn't make you feel poorly about yourself. Love will protect you, comfort you, encourage you, think the best of you, help you and honor you. If he does these things and doesn't verbally abuse you or, especially, if he has ever physically abuse you, chances are that he loves you. Guys have a tough time expressing their emotions because they are not used to it and by expressing them, it makes them vulnerable. They are scared to death of the fact that once you know how they feel, you can really hurt them bad. I suggest that you sit down with him and ask him how he feels about you..tell him how you feel first. Another way is to take 2 pages of paper and, at the top, write the sentence: Today, my feelings for my partner are__________________. Each of you go off to a separate place and spend 10 minutes writing the answer to that. Afterwards, come back together and read your letters back to one another. It may sound silly, but it works. By the way he acts around you or even his actions. Remember Action speaks louder than words. Also, it would help if you ask him or if he flat out tells you.
