The purpose of the computer is to input data quickly and to interact with the basic technology which gives the person more knowledge and information about whatever he needs.
The Computer's main operation is calculation, it done 100% of its processing with calculation, you almost heard that computers can handle 1s and 0s, a bit strange, isn't it? How can the computer do calculations with only these two numbers, they're all the same results. So they invented binary numbers it is based on these two numbers but we duplicate it so we end it up with huge numbers like this: 0110 1100 or 0000 1111 now this is called 1 byte because it is contains of 8bits (1byte=8bits) and instead of representing each byte in tenth like we have in our maths units, tens, 100s, 1000s, etc...
in computer's language it has 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64,128
.......I don't thinik this was exactly you needs but it is useful to know that as well.
With computers you can process any kind of movments, and any senses like touch which is the touchpad in laptops, Heat=Scanner, scan=keyboard buttons and so on...
