Anaconda or water boa is the giant of the boa (boidae) family. It is a new-world, semi-aquatic, non-poisonous constrictor seen in tropical northern South America and Trinidad in swamps, marshes and river valleys. Found in large numbers in South American equatorial forest and east of the Andes, an anaconda is a much heavier-bodied serpent (130 kg) than a python. South America has its huge anaconda of which there are several species. It feeds mainly on mammals and birds. It seizes its prey in the powerful jaws, throws one or more coils around it and squeezes it until it suffocates.

Define large numbers. If you mean: Are there places where I can see a ball made of 100 anaconda's the answer is nowhere.

Anaconda's are solitary creatures living in preferably wet area's in the Amazons. Large numbers can be found in specialized zoo's.

They can be found in the amazon region, but mostly they live south of that in 'Pantanal', a large swampland located in the Brazillian state of Mato Grosso. Pantanal is also home to kaians (is that how u spell it?) and to one of the world's largest diversity of birdlife.
