I have tried this twice and it ended up not working out, and i lost both a friend and Lover......

yes.. because finding a true friend and partner in one is the biggest and best bliss. you could be either 1/2 as lucky without the risk, or doubly so with the risk. why not take the plunge? the worst that could happen is that she'd say no, and you'd still be friends

no not unless you just knew that you were destine to be together following you heart not other things (you know what i mean) but i would leave good enough alone
