i'm pretty sure that england, china, france, canada and germany have a fairly decent if not the military equavalent of america military, so why is it that all these countries are so afraid to stand up to america ?

You must understand this:
USA is superpower
Only Rusia can match them, if only Rusia have their economy power
But China is fast becoming the new superpower, both military and economy (it comes together)
Not scare of anybody - they believe they are big
Large country - resources spreaded
In other continent than most big nations
Lots of resources
Big economy - super economy others depend on
Control world economy
Once invaded Japan and have their full support
US Dollar accepted as world currency in exchange/business
New military technologies not known to others
Big influence of United Nations
Threaten other small and rich countries - especially Arabs countries dictotarship rulers
Got its independent 200 years ago thru defecting and chasing-out British

They aren't afraid.
England (actually the UK) shares with America responsible behavior in the world.
The other countries you mentioned realize America, the UK and the coalition of the willing are doing the necessary work of a free world by confronting tyrants and rogue nations.
These countries reap the benefits of a safe and free world without sharing in the responsibility of keeping it so.
They're behaving like parasites. They enjoy seeing America suffer casualty as it keeps American power in check. When, if, America can't keep up with it's responsible behavior, and the other counties you mentioned are at risk of losing American protection...they will necessarily have to share responsibility and (at least) defend themselves.

I dont think it is that they are afraid it is more of a hate twards america that fuels most countries fire... why? usually extreme religion
