My favourites are how Indian people have names for every relationship from Mother's sister.. to Father's brother.. ..instead of just saying Uncle and Aunty.

Importance given to family life.

Dancing and singing in almost all rituals.

Wearing the traditional clothes.

Eating 'mithais'- sweetdishes in all festives..
can go on -and -on....

we indians have diverse culture n langauages and there are many customs. The most common is namaste, which is a way to greet the person you meet. The elders are the most respected members and there decision can be the final words. This does not mean that we Indian do not have freedom of expression but since the eldest person is considerd to be the most experienced member hence his verdict is final.
Also respect women, that is the basic thing we are taught at home. Be polite and always help out others in trouble irrespective of whether you know them or not.
These are the basic things that i can mention here, the rest differ from state to state .

See, every Indian state has different customs, but the customs followed everywhere are-
Joining your hands and saying Namaste when you meet elders, or touching their feet;
Calling your elders Uncle, or Aunty, and not Mr.---- or Mrs.----;
Respecting women, and not discrimanating against them;
Being polite even to those who work for you;
Not answering back to elders, and listening to what they say, even if you don't agree;
Having physical relations before you are 18 or before you get married, is not considered good;
Eating with only one hand in South India, and using both hands in North India. If you use both hands in S. India, it is considered bad;
Washing your feet after you take off your shoes, and not entering in the kitchen wearing your shoes;
And taking off your shoes before you go inside a temple.
These are the main customs.
