i have freckles and its kinda wierd becuase up till the age of 11 i only got them in the summer and they would go away in the winter but now they dont go away. they just stay.

What causes freckles?
Freckles are flat tan, brown or black spots that appear over time on areas of skin that have been exposed to the sun. Freckles are common among those with lighter skin who sunburn easily. Age spots, which appear later in life, are superficial collections of the skin pigment melanin which occur within the top layer (epidermis) of the skin. Freckles and age spots, classified as symptoms of photoaging, are commonly found on the face and hands, or any other part of the body that has been overexposed to the sun.

I'd say genetics and sun exposure. It all adds up, summer after summer, you HAVE to use sunscreen spf 15 on your face every day. I have them, my mother has freckles, and when I'm in bright sunlight for days, they get darker !

because you do not have a lot of melanin under your skin. Asian/african people usually have more melanine than fair-skinned people and so they are able to tan more evenly. having melanin protects people from sun burn Just keep your skin away from exposure from the sun. It will eventually fade aaway.

freckles is the sign of any kind of alergy...
May be you have some kinda alery... try to avoid Sunlight as much as possible..

they are just born with it and they get them due to their nationationaly
