I fell off of a scafolding about a week ago and have a massive bruise on my left side where my kidney would be.

If you haven't been to the doctor yet, you need to go ASAP. Myself I would prefer the Emergency Room.
Scabs are caused from dried up blood, so it is very likely that your kidney is bleeding. If left untreated you could lose your kidney.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Go straight to your doctor as soon as possible. That is definitely not a good thing. It can be very dangerous.

Time to have it clinically checked - don't try doctoring yourself because physical symptoms / conditions are what the docs look for in diagnosing.
