Can anyone tell me an effective way to fray the bottom of a skirt?It's an Old Navy brand skirt, I cut the hem off in order to fray it to my liking.I have already washed it and im ready to begin.Thanks!!!

If its a jean skirt or thick cotton skirt, then you can just cut it then wash it for maximum effect. however, if you want a really natural look then buy some sandpaper and really "scrub" the edges of the skirt. then wash. however, this may take a while for the skirt to fray a lot, at first it will be hardly noticeable. but when it finally does fray, it is a very natural/professional look - just like destroyed abercrombie skirts.

wash it and dry it several times for a natural fray look. If its a jean skirt it takes about 7 or 8 times

wash it several times to get the natural look...or use a blade or something....to make it look like you got run over...
