I have my yahoo blog, but have also used livejournal and myspace. I prefer my Y360 to the others so I have quit blogging on the others. It is too overwhelming to retype everything into all of them anyway. I have no idea how many people read my blog on a regular basis. I blog for myself, use it as a way to express what I am feeling or what I am doing, going through, etc! If it brings entertainment to someone else then great! So with that my blogging works for me.

I dont think I have a blog. I have no need for it @ all. But I believe that the more buddies you have online, you should have some of them reading it. Otherwise, try and make your blog interesting by introducing questions and things that promt responses from readers. Otherwise, get a diary from Barnes and Nobles to keep your thoughts.

I have several blogs and I enjoy the heck out of them.
I'm not sure how to answer your question of 'Do Blogs Work' as it can be read in multiple ways.
I mean, yes, they work for what they are designed for, which is to show others what you are typing/thinking at the moment.
They are a fun way of communicating with a lot of people at once instead of just a few people.
You should try one out and see what you think, they are typically free and there are a lot of choices out there.

I have a blog, and I'm beginning to become blog fatigued. Some of my friends and family visit regularly, but I doubt that anyone else does. It served a purpose for a while...a place for me to be creative and to place small articles I write, but it takes up too much time when I have other priorities. And lately, it seems to have become a newsletter rather than a serious blog. I'm conflicted and haven't quite decided to give it up.

Depends what you use the blog for i use mine to agregate stuff im interested in collect posts that are useful to my job in IT as well as post stuff i discover in my work so i can find it again easily, tips and fixes etc for problems. I dont allow comments as i dont want to get into the whole managing other peoples spam but it helps others who look for the same info so saves me answering questions again
I recently answered a question here on removing sypware and viruses so posted in my blog as well so when others ask me i can tell them to look there.

yes, but i rarly use it, just cause i dont really need it, and only 2 people can read it cuase its private, i think blogs are kinda stupid honestly, and i'd rather email people.
