I'm left-handed and I wear my watch on my right-hand. I think it all boils down to which hand you write with but if I remember correctly it should be worn on the left-hand because the little screw at the side of the watch (the one which you twist to change the time) is meant to face outward so it's easier to twist it as opposed to it facing inward pointing toward the wrist (obviously it would be harder to twist the screw to alter the hands of the watch).

I think this theory is meant to apply to male and females just because of the practicality in the changing the hands on the watch. Notwithstanding this, it's not highly relevant, it's just personal preference.

I hope that made sense (?!)

The statment that females wear wrist watch on right hand and males on left is not true.It sometimes depends on if they write with their right or left hand or they lost that arm and the leg is not that handy!

I wear my watch on my left wrist. Maybe it depends on whether you're left or right handed. It feels strange if I wear it on my right wrist.

Not that I know of! I think people just tend to wear it on the arm that feels comfortable really! Also I think that right handed people wear it on the left arm and left handed people on the right arm. I am right handed so I wear mine on the left arm where if feels comfy.

Both sexes usually wear a wristwatch on the left arm... due to the design so the winder is on the right and you can wind it with your right hand. If worn on the right, the winder would face up your arm and would need to be removed to wind it.
