i read in a website that roseanne had the most confusing and dramatic ending in most of the soap opera's. but i only watch it in NICK@NIT and everytime i am getting to the end (the part after Darlene gets married to david and all) it goes back to the beggining! can someone please tell me the end?!? THANK YOU!

Ok here it goes...
The last episode of Roseanne, Darlenes baby is home and recieves visits from each cast memeber (it is really cute and touching, Becjy and Mark reveal they are having a baby while looking at Darlenes baby) Roseanne makes the family say Grace before thier pizza dinner in the living room, and she notes that people should give thanks all the time not just when something good happens.
then at the end Roseanne is sitting in her office in the basement (remember the one Dan and the kids built for her bday?) and she has just finished writing a book, but she says she changed alot in the book....
Dan really dies at Darlenes wedding due to the heart attack. She felt so cheated and angry at him that in her story she had him cheat on her with another woman (never happened)
She was so depressed she started wishing she had all the money in the world, so in her book she imagined winning the lottery(no wonder why all those episodes were so wierd right?))
Beverly (her mom) was not gay afterall. But Jackie was.
Fred and Leon were not married...in fact Fred was just Roseannes probate lawyer who she imagined to be with Leon for her story.
And lastly, Mark was really Darlenes boyfriend and David was really Beckys boyfriend...Roseanne always thought they would make more sense the other way around so she switched it for her story....
It was the saddest, most thought provking series finale I have ever seen... I cried so bad when i found out Dan was dead...also th eshow ends with Roseanne alone in her regular old house (no more rich fancy house, she wasnt really rich!)

Actually tonight Nick @Nite just showed the two part ending episode 10:030-11:30 and then again At 1:00-2:00, I waited a long time to see this ending and yes it was kid of weird, Roseanne explain how all the characters are from her real life with a few changes (i.e. her real sister was gay) Also Dan died after the heart attack and everything that happened in the show after that (including the lottery) was in Roseanne imagination because she was trying to escape reality.

You know how Roseanne always harped on about being a writter? Well when dan has his heart attack thats where she starts writting her story (you find this out in the end), Shes writting that dan leaves her and they win the lotto. The very last episode you see her back in the house before it goes all flash. Shes in her little study in the basement, she gets up from writting, walks up stairs and goes to the kitchen. wipes down the table and walks out to go to the bedroom and turns out the light. Very sad. makes you want to give her a cuddle

It turns out the whole season where they won the lottery was her imagination dealing with Dan's fatal heart attack. She was writing a book about her life to deal with the problems in her life. She said that in her writings she could fix the problems she could not fix in her real life. In her writings she had David and Becky together and Darlene and Mark together. She also made her mother and Jackie gay. The only part of the story that was real was Darlene's baby had a problem birth and almost died. What a very depressing and disappointing final show.

From what I've heard after they won the lottery and all those episodes the last one showed her sitting on the couch in the old house. They never won the lotto, David married Becky and Darlene married Mark. Dan was dead and I forget what else supposedly happened. It drives me nuts that they won't show it on Nick!

SPOILER!!!! Dan's heart attack at the wedding actually killed him. Mark and Darlene actually ended up together and Becky and David. I think these were the major surprises. It's been awhile since I've seen it. :)

the end is really confusing ..............the whole thing was actually untrue and a story she wrote .....the characters were real...but jackie was actually a lezbian and dan had actually died but she kept him in the store...........you have to watch to understand.........very sad actually..i love roseanne i've seen every show but i still watch it
