There is no quick way to email or fax a director or writer. If you seriously want to contact a director or writer, you need to write them a letter and send it to them care of their agents or managers. You can find agent/manager info for most writers and directors through the DGA (www.dga.org) or WGA (www.wga.org).

There's good reason for that. It's to weed out the crap. Literally. If you don't go through an agent, and a reputable one at that, whatever you send will go right in the "trash". It won't get read anyway.
