Yes your hormones are what is causing you to break out. Especially in the chin area, That is the most common place for hormonal break outs. There isn't too much that you can do to stop that since it is your body. Once your hormones start calming down during your second trimester the acne will not flare up as much. My face was a wreck during my pregnancy.
A good cleanser for oily/acne skin is a foaming type cleansing, but make sure you rinse completely. If you don't it will cause your skin to dry out and actually produce more oil. Another good thing is to find an exfoliating agent and use no more then twice a week. A face scrub or peel is good. Try not to touch your face. If you find your are breaking out around the outside of you face, forehead and cheeks by the hairline. The problem might not be hormones but something you are using in your hair. Acne can show up because of an allergic reaction to something.

Whatever is put into the body must either be used by the body to sustain life and energy, or, it must be eliminated. The process of elimination is called detoxification. To detoxify, the body rids itself of toxins primarily via urine and feces, to some extent by sweating, however when there is more toxicity in the body than it can remove via these channels, the body will sometimes store it in bone or fat (out of the way of primary organs--but still an unfortunate circumstance) or it will push it right straight out the skin in the form of pimples, rashes and boils.
To help avoid that from happening, you can carefully monitor what gets in to your body in the first place. Eat fresh and organic foods. Read food labels. If the ingredient list on food you purchase resembles the inventory of a chemistry laboratory, then that is not food, it is chemicals. Look for the shortest ingredient labels you can find. Particularly egregious to the body are MSG, partially hydrogenated fats, cheap non-conductive fats (soybean oil, canola oil, cottonseed oil, corn oil) sugar, any artificial sweetener, carrageenan, nitrates, and genetically modified foods. Avoid water that has chemicals added to it, and severely limit intake of soda or eliminate it completely. If you have never tried drinking Emergen-C, a slightly fizzy beverage that is actually good for you, give it a try.

Eat lots of fruit and veg - blueberries, tomatos and grapes are all particularly full of 'anti-oxidants' which help your body get free of toxins and give you a healthy complexion. Drink lots, but drinking more water than your normal 8 glasses per day won't make much difference. Also, try to do 30 mins of exercise per day. I always have a healthy glow after that. Finally, cleanse, tone and moisturise every night. Simple really =)

Check with your doctor before trying anything other then drinking plenty of water. In some cases this is normal but not in every case though.
Being pregnant seems to turn everything upside down for us poor women so just talk to your doctor to see if all's okay.
Good luck mom.

Drink tons of water, and be careful what you put on your skin because your skin is one of your bodies biggest organs and every chemical you put on your skin could go straight to your baby. Check with your doc about the safety of anything you decide to try.

Be careful as to what you use, because the easiest way for a chemical to enter a person's system is for them to rub it on their skin. Once it's in their system, it will enter the baby's.
Many herbal medicines can be dangerous to pregnant women and their un born babies. I would consult a qualified Herbalist in your area.

Try cutting out or down on chocolate. Be sure to drink sufficient water and keep your face clean, but don't over wash - to much cleaning will irritate it. Be patient, hormones are definitely a component.

Drink lots of water, fruits and cucumber, but apart from all this concentrate on your pregnancy than concentrating on your skin. See that how you can give birth to a health baby.
