Either make your way down to Algeciras to catch a ferry, or get a flight on Iberia, Air Europa or Royal Air Maroc.

There are no cheap flights between Spain and Morocco, so that option will be at least 300 or 400 euro return.

Ferries are about 30 euro one-way. The best connections are from Algeciras or nearby Tarifa. There are no ferries from Barcelona to Tangier.

I think the best way to get to Morocco from Spain is by ferry. Morocco is not a bad country. It is very nice and safe. I have been there a few times.

Well MKCandy whatever the rest of your name is, sounds like a grandma from southern texas tellin "ya'll to be careful from dem Neegras"
Come on, I have lived in morocco for a year, and been there about ten times, very safe, very beautiful, and most definitiely going to be an unforgettable experience.

Closest point from spain is Cadiz - Tangier, and believe me on a good clear day, you can see the buildings across the straight.

Make sure you visit - Tangier, Marrakesh, Fes, Maknes, Agadir.

Son ciudades hermosisimos, y te lo pasaras super bien, conoceras a gente en el camino!!!

Enjoy, Disfruta!!

Check out ferries across the Mediterranean, Barcelona to Tangiers, for example.

Per 'mkcandyrocky' below: 'Muslim' doesn't equal 'terrorist'. Morocco (along with Tunisia and a bunch of other Muslim countries) is a fantastic and relatively safe place to travel. My sister spent a year there, on her own, in college.

Have a great trip, sounds like a blast!

Id be nervous, Morocco still has ties to human trafficking and taking a little American girl like you would bring big payments. IF you still attempt to go alone I would fly it. Madrid has cheap flights, but Gibralter, depending on how close you are is fine. Your going so you can say you have been to Africa right? Buy Hash while you are there, you will never find it so cheap again.
