They have their own STD.
But thinking more about your question, I would say I do not know. Because too little humans are sick zoophilics, who could try this way, no material for big generalisations. Besides they had to be bi- in certain sense, for could catch a disease afroma human nd transmit it to animal...
Some theories say that HIV passed from apes, so why some viruses and microbes could not do be passed (including mutations) to animals? Really probable thing.

Yes. I __think__ you could consider Brucella abortus to be a sexually - transmitted disease in cattle etc, though I think cows also catch it from other contact, such as grazing where another cow has recently aborted.
Animals have their own STD's too. I do not know much about them, but I saw an epidemic of illness - followed - by - miscarriage, in female cats mated to a certain stud male, years ago, when I was breeding and showing peigreed cats. We tried warning people eg one couple who bought a really good female kitten from us. They ignored our advice, mated her to him. She miscarried, and needed to be spayed; a real loss to the breed!
:-(
(end anecdote here; I know: it's not real scientific evidence...)

They sure can. I work on a Thoroughbred breeding farm and before the mares can be bred to the stud they have to have a statement from the vet saying they are clean.
