There are 9 innings in a baseball game, unless the teams are tied at the end of the 9th inning, then extra innings are played.

This is not footy soccer we play quarters in football now baseball has innings. There innings are up and down depending on if its a tie really # 9 regular.

Football games are played in Quarters...of which there are 4...Sometimes there are Overtime sessions should the score be tied after 4 Quarters. depending on which League the competing teams are in.
