One is foam and one is filled with water.
Comfort-wise, I find the memory foam beds to be a bit claustrophic. And you can't adjust the firmness. I believe you can with the waveless waterbed.

NO! I bought a waveless water bed 8 months ago and sold it 3 months later. I woke up everyday neck and lower back hurting and i was just tired everyday. After selling it and buying the memory foam, OH BOY! I sleep real nice every night. Please dont waste your hard earned money on crap like the waveless water bed.

Not really, You do not have the support with a water bed and a memory foam bed can be adjustable. If you sleep on both, there is no comparison. The memory foam bed is far superior.
