Ionic bonds ARE not stronger than covalent bonds..covalent are the strongest like what diamond bonds have. ionic bonds are weak. methane has the strongest bond out of the compounds listed. PLEASE DONT BELIEVE ALL THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE OUT OF THEIR MIND SAYING IONIC BONDS ARE THE STRONGEST!!!!!

NaCl.It has an almost pure ionic bond.Ionic bonds are stronger than covalent bonds.
CH4 is covalent.
H2O and HCl are polar compounds.This is due to the slight difference in electronegativity between the bonded atoms which is not enough to form a pure ionic bond but greater than that required to form a pure covalent bond.

I would go with NaCl. In front of me there is a table that states that when sodium and chlorine combine to make this ionic bond, 441.2 kJ/mol of energy is released. I.e it takes 441.2 KJ/mo; of energy to break this bond which is a larger than the energy required to break the other bonds. Since it is tougher to break this bond than it is to break other bonds, NaCl has the strongest bond.

CH4 has a tetrahedral arrangements. Sigma bounds is the most strongest covalent bound type in the organic compounds. Metan contains four sigma bounds in its structure.
