Seriously. The FDA can not find that it has any long term affects, it's not addicting and it has also been proven that it barely affects your IQ (like everyone says it does).

The only drawback that I can see is that employers would not enjoy people coming in everyday that are stoned.

If anything, tobacco should be banned right?

i can answer that in one simple word....MONEY...the government makes way too much money off of marijuana busts to make it legal...i know its ****** up but thats just the way it is.. marijuana is the only harmless drug on "Schedule I" (others include: LSD, opiads, methanphetamines...etc. (look it up).

schedule I means....supposedly: "it has no medicinal purpose at all"... so therefore there can not be any government funded research on the subject to advocate its' legalization...

i could go on forever on this debate but its tiresome to type that much, i really wish it was legal as i'm a "fan" of it...lol....

contact me if you care to hear anymore of my opinion...

Because their brains ain't right. When alcohol was outlawed in the '20s, organized crime exploded. If they'd legalize Pot and take the profit motive out of it, there'd be less crime. But they don't want to look like they are permitting society to unravel. Throughout the ages, alcohol has fired people up to violence and wars. If Pot had been the drug of choice, there'd have been less of that. When I'm dictator, I'll make it legal.

You make a perfectly illogical argument in the typical pothead fashion. How about this don't smoke tobacco or pot. Whether or not something is illegal doesn't make it a good or bad thing. Use your brain if it isn't totally fried yet.

it is legal for medical purpose in California. The latest finding is that it has no link to lung cancers. The black markets for marijuana would collapse, and the black markets are against legalization.
