Nipple Stimulation... How long did it take before it worked and felt contractions?

Did you do it for 15 minutes then wait an hour? Then do the other side? How many hours did it take to work? Im 39 weeks, wanting to know how this worked for everyone else?

i tried this and it didnt work on me..well it did give me contractions but not bad enough to do any good..

i was very overdue..with my 3rd..

I think this is just an oldwives tale. That baby will come when it is ready i tried everything with my son nothing worked he was a day late. My daughter on the other hand was ready from the get go and she was born at 36weeks and 4 days. She was a big one though she weighted 7pound and 1 oz which i think is pretty big for a baby that was 3 and half weeks early. And if u are too uncomforatble ask about induction thats the only way i had my son. I think he would have stayed in there forever if i would have let him lol. I would really talk to the dr u are at a good time for induction ask it wont hurt.

This worked for me with my first baby when i was 39 weeks. We didn't really think about it, we just happened to be intimate that night and the next day i had my baby within 14-15 hours after.
With my second baby we tried everything to try to naturally bring on contractions (I was 41weeks!) but not even nipple stimulation worked!
I think maybe you're supposed to try to climax.

it is normal to loose patience...but why rush it...if the baby is not ready to be born why rush him out of the womb.....it does not really work...say it should since nipple stimulation should cause the uterus to contract which it does...but wait ...the baby should know when...
