Here's some CORRECT information. Goldberg left when Mc Mahon refused his contract demands... typical Mc Mahon tactic- get the star, destroy or absorb their old employer, then make them work cheaper. Goldberg was redundant, character-wise, with Steve Austin, at least in Vince's eyes. Goldberg currently has an auto-related TV show, but here's the good news, straight from his official website. Goldberg has been talking to TNA officials, and in his own words, "The potential for a comeback definitely exists." That generally means that they are talking money right now. Look for him on TNA very soon...possibly after Goldberg gets done with shooting the movie Half Past Dead 2, which starts filming in July. TNA is getting really aggressive in acquiring name talent...and don't be surprised if they steal some more WWE guys. Remember, you heard it here first!

PS. Congrats to Bill Goldberg on the birth of his son this May.

I'd have to guess because Vince McMahon has a habit of trying to water down any superstar from a promotion which he acquires, rather than letting them live up to their full potential. He did this with most of the talent he acquired from WCW, especially DDP. He tried to do this with Goldberg, but Goldberg's fan base was too great to allow this to happen. Hopefully, Goldberg will go to TNA, where he can be the superstar he was in WCW, instead of guest starring in the McMahon & Triple H show that is WWE. McMahon is a joke, & I hope TNA runs him straight out of business.

goldberg have a great winning streak of about 150 or so matches win in a row .HHH challenge him for and title matche and entered gold to a condition that if tonight he loses to HHH then he has to leave wwe for ever and can return only when HHH permit him to ***. HHH beat hm with the help of ric but goldberg is man of his words hequite wwe. hope we wwe fans can see that most intansce man in wwe again!

Beacause the Chair Man told him to leave... Sometime they don't follow the what they are told to and they get fire.. He was too old to be in WWE and he could not be in WWE cause when u are old u have lots of chances of breaking bones.. They have a choice of being in WWE after i think 60 but if anything happens to WWE people after 60 WWE is not responble for the thing that happens to them.. Some People quit after that.

I think the WWE didn't like Goldberg's smashmouth style. He didn't have the technical skills of Kurt Angle, and he was not treated properly by WWE.

Because wwe is not fit for a star like him.
Goldberg is way too awesome for wwe and that ridiculous has been vince.
I only hope he returns one day to either TNA, ECW or even WWE.

Because he sucked. He was way overrated and not a very good wrestler. I'm sure he is pumping gas somewhere.
