Depends.

If you were using a Microsoft product and were venting your frustration then it's worth 100 activist points.

If you had a fit of computer rage during a video game because you lost or had an adverse game experience, then you have to go to anger management classes and do 20 hours of community service.

If neither of the above cases applies, you can pass go and collect $200, but you'll probably have to use the money to buy a new monitor.

If you were strong enough to put your fist through a CRT computer monitor and penetrate deep into it. You would probably die.

Not counting the damage you would do to your hand and forearm, you would penetrate the Cathode Ray Tube. The temperature in there is really hot, so you would be badly burned in the third degree on your appendage. An Implosion would take effect around your forearm as you would release hot plasma energy splash damage into your face, which would blind you and burn you like hot liquid lightning. Shards of glass would fly into your forearm from the cathode ray tube. Then you would be electricuted at a high voltage. The toxic gases would probably cause a serious resperatory condition which could be pretty uncomfortable, and lastly, the powdered lead coating would enter your blood stream from the cuts, which could lead to serious brain damage if you survive.

If it's an LCD, probably nothing but bruises and scratches, unles you Punch the inverter chip usually located in the bottom right hand corner. In which case you would release hot plasma energy which would blind you and severly burn you, as well as electricute you at a high voltage. This might boil and/or vaporize the liquid from the monitor causing even more burns.

Good luck!

You may call am ambulance straight away as your gonna need a cute nurse to pull the glass from your fist. In turn the doctor will prescribe you with massive pain killers & advise that the next time you go to put your fist through a computer screen that you might wanna try putting on a boxing glove before trying it out! :-)

Well, If you put your fist through the pc screen, its probably because you were brought into a rage after using a microsoft product..

What kinda monitor are we talking here?

Flat panel or tube monitor?
Tube monitor, You probably wouldnt break it with your fist..
Flat panel, You will at least have some dead pixels, but more than likely you will be turning it into a paperweight.

Ouch!... and then the vacuume pulls your arm in further provided that your fist did go through... Ouch!

Hit it with a sledge hammer, or if you can... put your chair through it... but if worst comes to worst... pick it up and throw it at the ground.
