Naming a child is an important deal. This child will have this name for the rest of her life. I am a teacher, and names can make or break kids. If you don't agree, continue looking until you do agree. His opinion is just as important as yours. Although, I think that since we carry it, nurse it, and then bear the stretch marks afterward, I think you should get your way. Maybe you can get the first name, and your husband the middle name.

Don't worry! You will find a solution, one way or another! Could not be worse than us; my husband and I both wanted to name our girl after our mothers (we're Greek) and because neither of us gave way, my family called her Varvara (Barbara) and his family called her Sophia. At the end, we baptised her and gave both names and combined the two names into Var (from Varvara) + sia (from Sophia) into Varsia. Provided the surname is Demovic, it was very becoming, sounding like Russian.
After some time we had a second girl and went to court to remove the name Varvara and leave her only with Sophia, while Varvara went to the second baby. There! You have had three solutions.
After all, if you don't choose a name, she can do it on her own, when she grows up...

Are you planning on having more kids? My parents made a deal she would name me since I was a girl then the next child he got to name no matter what it was. Or me and my husband (he got to name both lol) but I got to pick out of some that he chose you guys could both choose some names then sit down together and talk it over.

James and Marry become :Merry (Me-from James, and rry from Marry)
Chatur and Yulia become : Chatlia
Combining name with your husband will be an interesting job...Hopefully you can get a great name with your husband for your child....
