I am free, many men are not , I am luckyfor what I have and the brain however flawed it maybe, I am lucky, I got it and not someone else's
I am lucky, I am free to change my mind and to go almost anywhere, anytime
I am lucky ,I am from the dominant country the holder to the keys of the gulag, and not a citizen of a nation and civilization in the process of being destroyed, and not a prisoner in the gulag, I am lucky that I am alive and walking and talking and not paralyzed from the neck down in a wheelchair breathing with the assistance of a ventilator through my tracheotomy and able to eat food and go to the bathroom naturally and not through artificial means, I am lucky I am not homeless and I am not starving, I am lucky that I am able to donate my time and money to those less fortunate than myself like the hurricane victims of katrina and that I am not one of those victims, I am lucky I knew both of my parents growing up and I have a family and friends the list is endless,I am lucky because of numerous factors and life could be so much worse, but it is not

Not lucky. Blessed. I have SO much to be thankful for . Actually, I know that I'm not lucky. I never win anything and life doesn't treat me well. BUT,I am thankful.

I'm as lucky as I choose to be and I have, therefore, made a habit of counting my many blessings everyday so that luck is a lady, not a b*tch.
In fact, my favorite quote to reflect on is:
"The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings." ~~Eric Hoffer

I don't believe in luck. I believe individuals are "fortunate" by working hard to improve their situation. What we decide to say, where we decide to be, all determine what "fortunes" will come our way. For example, you don't win the lottery without deciding to buy the ticket. Therefore, you choose your fortune.

being human is a blessing only if you understand it's importance and work towards
salvation ,otherwise it's just another birth and inevitable soon.
