There are so many questions-statements about the Iraq, Afghanistan wars. Is there a better way to confront this situation? It's not Bush's fault that 9-11 occured under his watch. I was a teenager during the cold war. Thank God for Ronald Reagan. I, personally, have more confidence in a republican government to deal with a war time situation. Do you think a democratic president could really fix the situation? There is no way out of this war, in my opinion. Iraq is just a prologue to a greater conflict. U.S. vs Iran. I think we should pray for another Reagan. What do you think?

Excellent question!!

People do not understand how this terrorism things works. Mainly those on the left, the reason is because it is a religious issue. People on the Left in this country do not put religion before there own personal pleasures so they have a hard time understanding those who are religious.

We are fighting a very very dangerous enemy in radical Islam. When terror attacks happen around the world, the media is quick to say that it is not related to Al Queda so it is OK. It is not OK. Terror attacks all over the world are connected by one thing; Islam. Look at Sudan. The Muslim government oppressed indigenous and Christan's in western Sudan which has led to the fighting in the Darfur region.

Islam is a major threat to the rest of the world. And it all ends with the fall of Tehran. Yes Iraq was a stepping stone to Iran. Just look, we have bases on the east and west of Iran. If we do decide to attack Iran we will not have to bargain with neighbors to launch an attack, we have the best angles to the high value targets from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Collegedebt is right, this 'War' on terror (such a typical American phrases, completely stupid) has nothing to do with securing ourselves. Why dont we try and understand why thery hate us so much, instead of napalming their cities? Maybe we should all sit back and just act like decent human beings for once. How can this be a war? Lets look at the sides

-The West - A World minority of countries, we are the most heavily armed and powerful nations on the globe. We are equipped with the latest technology and are nearly all armed with Nuclear weapons

- The 'Terrorists' - A small, guerilla group, consisting of every headcase from here to their. Poorly armed, nopeless against coalition troops

I just the the best thing to say is, for every 911 in America, the Thrid world repays 10 fold. The towers were bad, so why do we go out and commit worse atrocities to others?

Get a grip, warhawks

HOW ABOUT GO WHERE THE TERRORISTS ARE?

Iran and Iraq, while they may be supportive of some terrorists groups, they don't really support those that attacked us (according to the 9-11 report)...

However, Pakistan is probably holding Osama and is ruled by a military dictator that tells you what you want to hear (kind of like a 80s Saddam).... take out Osama... kill the head... just that simple?

paul_foster44: it ends with the fall of Tehran? What in God's name do you base that on? You don't even explain it yourself, because you have no basis for it?
Iran has so little to do with the terrorists that attacked us it's not funny, yet you say attacks will stop there?
THERE IS NOTHING TO SUPPORT YOU... TEHRAN ISN'T EVEN A KEY RELIGIOUS CITY IS ISLAM?
Just tell me one reason... which you should have several hundred to support that kind of argument, and I MIGHT START BELIEVING YOU?
All you say is that we have bases all around them? That doesn't mean anything... ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR AND EVERYONES ELSE HAVE NO BASIS THAT TERRORISTS ARE IN IRAQ....GEEZ? YOU SAY THE LEFT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND?
READ THE 9-11 REPORT... PLEASE!

ts_flanders: You are right... but those people are in Saudi (who is a close friend of Bush) and Pakistan (who is also a Friend of Bush).... so we are just sitting here waiting for the terrorists to come to our door...

First off, Iran has every right to pursue Uranium Enrichment, it's not our right to tell a Soveirgn Nation what it can and can't do. Second, the Iraq war ISNT ABOUT TERRORISM. Saddam Hussien has never had a connection to Al-Qaidi, ever, period. You can lie to me but don't lie to yourself.

Third, the United States is less safe because of George Bush not more. Our economy belongs to China, we're flooded with illegal immigrants, our gasoline is $3.00 a Gallon and were in a war that costs a billion dollars a day while Americans quality of life continues to dwindle.

I pray that we get someone economically conservative like Clinton in the white house again. Someone who wont runaway with spending bills and tax cuts like Dubya.

We should close our borders, really implement airport security, stop cutting funds to NY and Washington DC for terrorism preparedness, protect our nuclear power plants, our water sources, and employ thousands of Arab speaking translators to go thru the massive amounts of documents that may help find some of the terrorist cells. Stop wasting time listening to Americans phone calls and reading useless email. I hope to God there is no other Reagan, I pray for an FDR.

BLACKMAN -- putting your head in the sand is no way to deal with the issue. Muslim terrorists will come to your door and destroy you simply because you exist and think differently than they. To sit back and say "I didn't do anything to them, they will leave me alone" is laughable and ignorant beyond comprehension.

THE BEST way to deal with terrorists is to search them and their supports out and destroy them utterly. Not the PC way we have been playing in the sand for the last 3 years. If we want to show these people we mean business, we need to level the places they live.

Then change the hearts of the people who sit on the sidelines, educate them, show them there is a better way to live than under the yolk of tyranny, dictators, and religious oppression that has existed in that part of the world since the 12th century,

Take every country that's on the list of terrorist states and MOAB ( Mother of all Bombs) anyplace where 2 bricks are stuck together. Make the penalty for being a terrorist the death of all their family ( their family knows they are terrorists and are accomplises ) plus 500 citizens in that turds country and the forfeture of all their assests. This would send a clear message that terrorism will be delt with and ended permanently!
