Sometimes due dates are just best estimates and sometimes a baby is just not ready to come out. My mom carried my brother for ten months and he was a very healthy and big baby. Talk with your Ob Gyn about your worries and see what they say. Good luck with your baby.

You shouldn't have any complications due to being overdue. It just means that it's not time yet, or the baby doesn't want to come out...lol. But I think the most time the dr.'s will let you go over your due date is 2 weeks. After that, they will either try to induce you or do a c-section. But as long as the dr.'s say the baby looks fine, there shouldn't be any complications.
Good luck & Congratulations!

I was five days past my due date, most first time moms are. your doctor should let you know if you go to far past you due date, maybe by inducing labor. Walk alot! that helps, and sex also helps. Just make sure you are not leaking any fluids, that maybe a sign that your ambiotic fluid is getting low or your starting labor. I know it seems like your going to be pregnant forever, but don't worry it will happen, probably sooner then later. Trust me I had a 11 lbs. 3oz baby boy in november. Good Luck!

There really shouldnt be a problem. I would talk with your doctor if your really worried about it. Usually doctors will let you go as far as a week past your due date. I was three days to my due date when I had my son. Maybe try going for walks, eat pineapple, have sex, nipple stimulation.... stuff like that. All things that have been know to cause labor.
Good luck and best wishes!!!

Generally, most doctors don't become concerned until you are at least 2 weeks overdue, especially since this is your first pregnancy. Some will induce labor at that point but others will let nature take its course. Just make sure you keep your appointments regularly so they can watch you and the baby. Good luck!

With my first baby, I was over a week late, and he was fine. I went to the hospital to be induced, but I was already 3 cm dilated, so they skipped giving me medicine and just broke my water instead. He was fine...no adverse affects from being late. :)
HOWEVER, you need to make sure your doctor monitors you carefully. Since you're overdue, make sure he performs non=stress tests and keeps a good eye on the baby's heart rate and movement. Most doctors these days won't let you go more than two weeks past your due date.

No not at all...they will usually give you 2 weeks past your due date, then induce you if you don't go into labour on your own
