Michael Jordan?

2006-06-06 18:01:58 · answer #1 · answered by Dee 3 · 0 0

Michael Jordan easily, no one else has done so much individually and also brought his teammates into the game and made them that much better (6 rings in a row xcept for baseball, getting the 3 after playing baseball for a year makes it even more obvious cuz he just came back and won again because he knew he could - even with a different squad). Wilt Chamberlain could only score, and if he was playing today he would not be scoring no 50 points a game haha, hed be more like a 22-10 guy - he would come no where close to 100 points. jerry west....no... hes not even top 3. but the best player ever will be LeBron James in a couple years. The Chosen One will live up to the hype - once he gets a consistent shot and stop trying to not be known as a great dunker - mj never did that - he should stop bein a punk and go in the dunk contest and show how much of a freak athlete he is.

Obviously, Michael jordan is the greatest ever. However, some older players, such as Wilt Chamberlin, Bill Russell, and Oscar Robertson could factor into the arguement based on their performances. The only post-Jordan player even worth throwing into the arguement is LeBron James, but it will be years until we truly know for sure. Arguing that someone other than LeBron in todays game, such as Kobe, is the greatest is absurd, because if hand checking on the perimeter had been made illegal in the days of Jordan, it is quite possible that he could have averaged 40 points a game, and reached the elusve single game total of 100. Plus, no one can match Jordan's trophy case (6 NBA championships, 5-Time MVP, 6 time Finals MVP, 9 Time All Defensive First Team, 13 Time All Star, 2 Olympic Gold Medals).

If you're asking the greatest ever, it has to be Kobe Bryant.

Don't even argue with Michael Jordan.

Kobe can do more than Michael, way more.
Kobe can dunk, make more efficient lay ups or drives, makes more threes, has a better shot, and can cross anyone in this league.

No guard is on Kobe's level, and I'm not a Kobe Bryant fan.
As for clutch?
Kobe is the greatest ever.. why?
He isn't afraid to miss.

I think it is close between Bill Russel and Michael Jordan. Bill Russel has like 9 rings. He was definatly the best defensive player ever. Jordan would probably have 8 rings if he didn't go to play baseball.
