It will make 0.01% of the members rich. The rich ones will be wealthy by making use of the base members.
This schemes have been around for ages, as far as when I was a teen, people have been asking me to join these ponzi or pyramid schemes. Mainly health products, slimming pills, ask you watch internet advertisement et cetera. All are USELESS.
Why? None of my friends got rich nor got smarter nor healthier. It preys on each person's greed and the power of social networks. Who does not want to get rich? Who does not have friends and family?
Each pyramid scheme usually run out of steam after a few years. And someone (or the same mastermind) will come up with another similar one (but name it differently). These are scams... Nothing more.
Just look at how persistent these people can be, they work similar to telemarketing, insurance and property agents (mymusicbreak and gojigirl are just two examples, sorry guys). Deception, self-denial, putting up a facades are not the way to go. Time will tell. The real self-made millionaires I know, worked hard to be the way they are now, and will probably stay longer that way.

Donald Trump said if he had to do it all over again, he would start with a Multi-level-Marketing program. People who say they are scams are either uneducated or making a remark based on their past performance in a company. I have signed many people over the years who chose to take the lazy way out, not do anything, then call it a scam! If you were to buy a commercial business such as a restaurant and have no vision or plans for it and do nothing with it, it would fail. You wouldn't call buying a restaurant a scam. You need to treat your business like a million dollar business and take all the actions required to turn it into a lucrative income that is also residual. Most people get all excited, purchase the start up kit and wait for the money to roll in...when it doesn't happen, they blame the company and tell everyone what a scam it is....I think that is laughable.
As for you not seeing many billionaires around, where have you been looking? I work side by side with many rich people and we go to every level possible to see that our people are successful as well. I think a scam is working for other people to make their business prosper and get paid peanuts for doing it. Even if you are well paid, there is always a cap on your salary. Not so with MLM....you are paid and rewarded for your efforts based on how serious you are about building a productive business....Just like any other business.
I hope this has answered some of your questions.

The other postings here can be right. lol By the way, I havent touched my business in 6 months and it keeps getting bigger ! I am in a new one now that is huge ! Truth is 98 % of people who get in wont follow systems and thats why they fail. Watch and see how many people post a negative to this question. It will average 98% Negative. Contact me and Ill show you how to make it work unless you would rather be right . Being right doesnt pay very well .lol

It could work for a while. It's good in principle, but people get bored or uncommitted and evetually every MLM company goes down the drain. If you get in early on one, you could make substantial money.
