Racism is drawing negative conclusions about another person's traits, ethics, worth, ability, etc based solely upon that person's racial origin. And then acting upon those assumptions.
I think we all have "stereotypes" or "preconceptions" to 1 degree or another. Whether we like to admit it or not. A racist is usually aware of, and willing to act on these preconceptions.

Human beings are related to one another (1) to get things done that they cannot do individually, and (2) to share resources and benefits fairly that are limited. But human beings are differentiated naturally into races. Racism is when we base the relationship among human beings on their races and institutionalize it at any level of social and political structure. If we chose a certain race to get things done or share the resources and benefits and make peoples to follow suit then we are advocating racism. Due to racism the non-white people in previous South Africa were not allowed to go to schools with the White and the black people had to ride standing while the white sitting in public buses until 1960's in USA when Mrs. Parks said the first NO.

Racism is the pretext to discriminate, discrimination is the pretext to exclude. That is, exclusion from equal distribution of wealth and rights. You will find it rare that people from rich powerful countries or those that have had colonies (white Americans, English, Germans, Dutch, etc.)are discriminated...usually it's the other way around.

It is judging or branding humans by their skin colour, or country or region of origin, or by the language they speak.
Skin colour is only skin deep!
All regions or countries exist in the same earth. (animals and trees look the same everywhere!)
Language is only to express and not to divide!
But unfortunately.................
