i could be kind of awkward anyways. Going out with your best friends brother? Just out of experience its not the best idea. You'll most likely end up loosing two relationships.

I think you should not go out with him. You have a strong relationship with your best friend. You don't want to hurt the relationship you have there over a guy that may or may not work out. Besides, it might be kind of weird going out with him because you are good friends with his sister. I wouldn't go.

I think you should tell her, as a friend you would want HER to explore any possibilities for happiness.
She should want the same for you as well as her own brother.
'Less you gals have done slutty things together and she wants to protect him, or vice versa!
