Is he/she in Sports? Is there something hidden in the school enrollment form that consents to a drug test? Maybe similar to the BAC consent on driver's licenses?
This is crap. We need to vote Libertarian and take our WHOLE country back!

Calm... Breathe.... first, is your beef with the school district or the teacher? Only a school district or a legal representative can mandate student drug testing; schools or teachers cannot. Is your child at least 18yo? Is your child involved with any type of sports or extracurricular activities? Is your child on probation or involved with the legal system in some way? For a student to be tested in any way, a parent or guardian has to sign a form for random drug testing. If you didn't sign the form, and they didn't call you, and you child isn't involved with the legal system, you have a suit to file against the school district if you so choose. However, I strongly recommend that you talk with your child's school administrators and the legal dept. of the school district before you go in there with guns blazing....

you gave up ALL of YOUR rights when you decided for your OWN selfish reasons to bring one more mouth into the world... you really have no idea what you've gotten yourself into... you "f"ed up big time so good luck with the rest of your life and lay off the district and teachers 'cause they are all only human as well and they are doing an impossible job... if you think you can do better then run for a position on the school board or home school your children if you really love them because you are absolutely right... american public education is a mere shell of what it should be and those who make it the nightmare bureaucracy it is are criminal

Right - that's why people are home schooling more and more - to be the primary authority in our children's lives. A hospital wouldn't stick a needle into your kid without you being there - but the school district will. It's a dangerous road to go down.

If you are saying your kid was drug tested without your consent or knowledge I highly suggest you contact the ACLU and if they wont help the ACLJ(conservative org). That really sucks, hang in there!
