Well, I'm Catholic, but don't consider it a "religion." Christianity is a religion. I happen to be a Roman Catholic Christian.
I have had many ups and downs, lived many years without God, but found Him through the Holy Bible and faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. On my "journey back" to Christianity, I picked it up and read passages, and let them just sink in.
One day I was just overwhelmed with what can only be described as the Holy Spirit and was a new person. I know of no other "religion" that offers this wave of rebirth so vividly and completely.
Plus, Jesus teaches us to love one another. While I do think Buddhists, Hindus, and even Muslims (admittedly I know only a limited amount of their teachings) are misguided, I also know the Muslim Koran (Queran?) has passages about killing "the infidel."
My Bible tells me to love those people, even though their "holy scriptures" reportedly instruct them to kill someone like me.
As for the other Eastern religions, reaching heaven is dependent on how good a life you live. Christianity recognizes that all are sinners, and the only way to heaven is to accept the grace and mercy of God's forgiveness, and then to live by his precepts, and the teachings of His Son, Jesus.
God bless you all - believers and non.

Firstly, if you dont mind, I would just like to correct you that Taosim is not a religion. A religion means that there is a form of organization. Taoism is just a belief.
On your main question, I'll go with most of everybody else would probably say: they're all equal. Personally, I believe that God wears many masks and differing religions is just his way of showing himself to everybody who has different ways of thinking.
For those people who don't admit that our Lord Jeus Christ is his saviour, it doesnt mean that they will go to hell. He can still worship the same God thru other means and through other masks. What is important is the belief that there is a universal God (i dont know whats the stand by Hinduism on this, since HIndus have many Gods). That God can be an entity, a philosphy, a way of thinking, a way of living like Scientology, a sepreme universal force that arranges everything the way it is. The Lord Jesus Christ is just one of His ways of showing that He or It is God. And for the Muslims, its the prophet Mohammed. Otherwise, all religion teaches the same thing: that killing is wrong, that it is better to sow love in one's heart than hate, etc..
If you know about it: the word Catholic actually means "Universal" (:

The more you look into each one, the more you realise that they're all essentially the same. they all prettty much say "be nice to each other, everything goes much more smoothly if we all cooperate." Certainly most religions have been used at some point to justify violence and wars against those of different faiths, but they were started by people who missed the basic point.
When it comes to it, once the population grows beyond a few hunter-gatherers, an amount of human selfishness and greed kicks in as competition for resources grows. It is at this point that religion evolves from a way to explain the mysteries of the natural world (why is there a yellow hot circle up there in the day and a white cold one at night? etc.. ) into a manual for living in large social groups.
Take a look at your old testament, I think it's "Numbers" ( off the top of my head, not sure, it could be Deuteronomy ), there's a whole section there on what to do if you get different moulds growing in your house - that's not the word of god, that's sensible hygeine precautions that stop you and the rest of your village getting ill. ( Incidentally, don't forget to note that the old testament is common to Christianity, Judaism AND Islam - now if that isn't a big clue to violence between them being down to people getting it wrong, then I don't know what is... )
As to the rest of your question, certainly from a Christian viewpoint anybody who doesn't accept JC as their saviour is going to hell for eternity. But that's only the Christian answer to life after death. ( Besides, heaven has a very limited capacity, we're given a precise rundown of how many people from each tribe are getting in, there's a strong argument to say that if you're not one of the most worthy members of one of those tribes then you'll be burning for eternity regardless of who your saviour happens to be. )

You've certainly opened a can of worms here. Its's partly because there's so many to choose from that I am agnostic.
Regarding the non believers - I posed a similar question some time back. I was reliably informed by evangelists that we are all born evil (or sinful), and therefore, even a newborn baby is condemned to hell if they don't hear about (and choose to follow) their brand of religion.
I used to have some respect for followers of all religions, but because of this kind of scaremongering, I now consider evangelists to be evil, and they are the first religious group that I have lost all respect for.
If FORCED to pick one, I would opt for Buddhism - on the grounds that it is the only one that to the best of my knowledge has not been used as justification for war...

it is super which you probably did this. i'm no longer so advantageous in spite of if it relatively is surely names that we are referred to as, extra so strategies and strategies. as an occasion, clergymen are referred to as pedophiles, we worship Mary and the Pope, we are no longer Christians, we are cannibals, we pray to saints, cultists, satanists, and of direction, the whore of Babylon. those rude, smug and infantile feedback gets them no the place- so I fail to work out the element for why human beings call us those names. Even after answer after answer putting forward that we don't worship Mary, they nevertheless bypass on putting forward that we do, like they have some divine reason to have confidence that. they are merely misinformed- and it relatively is by utilising us Catholics to set those questions as we communicate. Ever be conscious while a Protestant asks a question suitable to the Catholic church, many Catholics answer thorough and specified solutions, the main suitable suited answer- however the Protestant nevertheless selections yet another Protestant answer because of the fact the main suitable answer? i think of it relatively is simple insecurities. all of us comprehend that none of those names or claims are actual, and that i've got confidence that in the time of seek of the main suitable suited solutions from fellow Catholics right here in R&S will merely make us better. Protestants are lacking plenty- they are no longer merely lacking the surely physique and Blood of Christ, they are lacking plenty extra, God's actual presence. forget approximately suitable to the assaults, because of the fact it relatively is merely blatant lies.

I am a Catholic. Therefore Catholicism is best for me.
The Catholic Church believes that those who die never hearing of Christ but have sought the truth and does the will of God as they understand it can be saved. This is called the Baptism of desire.
With love in Christ.

All religions talk of one thing in common, ie LOVE.
How many people talk about love in the name of their religion, and yet show enmity towards all those who don't believe in the way they do?
Where there is love, there is no hate., because love is the greatest alchemy. Its has the highest vibrational frequencies and the shortest wavelength.
Any religion that facilitates....
our unconditional acceptance (ie. non-judgemental) of, and understanding of our true inner self;
helps us to realize the Truth;
to be *one* with the cosmic consciousness,
to be *one* with God; ... is a positive religion.
There is no one good religion, just as, there is no *one* river that leads water to the sea. There are many rivers that lead water to the same sea.
Every one of us is so unique and different in many ways, cultural, ethnics, personalities, values, attitudes,... It's only ourselves that can *know* what fit us. We also tend to change in the course of our life-time.
But, all *changes* are good, because impermanence is one of the Truths of this universal consciousness. We're all energy and consciousness. It is flowing and changing every minute.
We're all *one*.
