I had a bf once that is best friends with this person whom i liked at first, but as i got to know him, only hanging out with him and my bf, i started seeing the real person in him. He (the bf's best friend) is very dishonest and very corrupted. My bf believed everything he said and always stood by his side (& still does), I guess, because my and my bf are no longer together, and one of the reasons is because of his monsterous best/f. I can not be around people whom i can't trust and people who are liars!! Your situation may be a little different, but remember, she'll stand behind her best/f before she stands behind you!!

She shouldn't expect you 2 befriend the guy...but I think she just wants you to be civil to the guy... if she is friends with him then you have to respect that! She also has to respect that you 2 do have a past and it will never get better! Just try to talk about it!!!

try to talk to her and explain to her your reasons. she will need to understand that you have the right to pick who to be friends with. try not to disrespect her friend if you guys ever get to hang out together, but you don't have to create a bond there! just be polite and also respect her decision to be friends with this person.

My ex was best friends with a woman i hated, who also hated me. I won, he ditched her, but now i've ditched him. I don't know how to help you. If you get your girlfriend to get rid of this friend, she may resent you. My ex didn't, but not everyone is like that.
