Question too vague, please clarify

Average adult male or female? And is the female pregnant or not, have PMS or not? Fullterm pregnant woman sure is not close to her average non-pregnant surface area! Plus, the skin can stretch! But basically, are you asking: "What is the average "clothes size" (amount of fabric needed) or how much wrapping paper would you need to wrap a human up for christmas.

There are charts-tables on estimated surface area of humans that I have seen in some text books, but the chart-table is based on the height and weight and gender of the person.

Hydration-dehydration can vary so much too! Males easily lose water during exercise, maybe 20# on an extreme day. That would affect surface area a lot. Women who have PMS bloating will also tell you that their surface area changes significantly (several sizes) during the month based on the various hormone fluctuations. And if one is eating a lot of salt, they may drink more and retain a lot more water....lots of factors here to consider.
